This is my beautiful girl Mala. She spots the waves coming for me - TopicsExpress

This is my beautiful girl Mala. She spots the waves coming for me when I surf. I have lived here for 30 years and I have taken my dogs surfing with me always. They love to swim, play, dig a bit, playing chasey with the gulls and this girl of mine will sometime swim out and get on my board with me for a few fun ones. 10-15 years ago you could take your dog to the beach and they would socialize and play with all the others and have a blast. No trouble, all the owners knew each other too. I know the place has grown so things must change and these days of taking her surfing with me with no consequences have sadly passed due to population growth. So that part of the area I grew up in and loved is gone, the feeling is dead. Now they want to take away our ability to even take our dogs to the beach in the hottest part of the year. What else about what attracts people here do they want to kill off I wonder? I will continue to defy the laws; thats my choice, I do not expect anyone else to follow suit. I will wear the consequences if caught out. But I simply refuse to not allow my dog to do what comes naturally to it; run, swim, play, dig with her family. They are a living creature and have the right to live well also. She has lived here and swum here longer than Ian Stubbs has been mayor so he can stick it up his arse mate! What Id like to know is how do we get this decision overturned? How do we stop these clowns on council from passing these ridiculous by laws without listening to the public that LIVE HERE?
