This is my brand new Council Velvicut® American Felling Axe. I tend to be a very detailed oriented person and am wondering if these are details that should not concern me. Notice the uneven grind on the bit and the difference in thickness on the eye, right side vs left. When I run my fingers down the bit, I can feel the un even grind, its like a subtle wave that was created from uneven pressure on the grinder. In the end, function, balance and longevity is what is most important to me, but I would hope that this much money, there would be a little more QC. What are your thoughts axe junkies?
