This is my breakfast jack neighbor bud Mary on halloween. Today december 1st 2014 is her 88th years young birthday (born 1926) Athens,Greece. The eldest neighbor child Karina wanted to get her Crocs. Marys favorite color is blue (she says its good luck in greece and that its also the greek flag). I took Karina to Tarjay (Target) and she got Mary the cutest fuzzy socks. Several pairs for like $13.00.. I also took Karina to Bardwells flower shop and staff person Jocelyn had a beautiful arrangement of flowers (extra, extra special). Jocelyn also made up at Karinas request 5 beautiful blue balloons and three unique mylar. Karina got one special rose call a perette or something close for her mommy. Karina also picked out a very special card for Marys birthday. I then took Karina to the near by 99 cents only store for a birthday bag for those socks. We then snuck home with everything where Karina waited for her mom,dad, two brothers to come home. We all walked over together to give Mary her birthday presents. She was so happy. I brought her scissors and she cut the ribbons from her balloons. She and I and Karinas mommy watched the balloons rise up and take flight. This seemed to bring great joy to Mary, and Mommy, and Me to get to see Mary having so much fun! I had snuck my doodle pad over just before all this excitement and I had Mary let me trace her Croc. She a womens size 8 I later learned from having taken the trace paper to the glendale galleria Croc store where staff persons Katelyn &Nikki helped me (I snuck out on a Crocs mission). The colors just werent quite right. So I had Katelyn call the valencia mall Crocs store where staff person Janelly put a blue pair on hold for Mikey. Staff person Nikki put the directions on my phones navigator as well as wrote them down. Off I went. The glendale galleria Crocs staff likes orange flavored egg cremes (I asked). Ill drop them off some to say thank you. I got a little lost the girls thought I might. A really nice young man at a gas station on valencia street just past the mall and the auto dealerships looked up the Croc store on his phone for me. I thanked him big time! I back tracked to the mall and entered in through the Sears. Janelly was so nice Ya All. She helped me to picked out the two pairs of different shades of Crocs for Mary. I showed this picture of Mary to Janelly and told her this is whom theyre for and I added the Lucille Ball gala story of how Mary fed Lucy in palm springs once. I had Janelly (blues her favorite color too) write her own happy birthday wishes to Mary from her on post its. I thanked her so much for everything. I asked her if we could call Katelyn and Nikki at the glendale Crocs shop (which we did) to let them know I had made it safely (I didnt want them to worry uneccessarily). I told Nikki she looked like Mary Stewart Mastersons character from the movie Some Kind Of Wonderful and then told Janelly about the movie too (we were all on speaker phone at my request. It was the Croc stores cordless landline). So off I went back towards home. I stopped off at the 99 cents store near home where I got a great birthday bag and card (the Crocs bag while pretty was christmas-ee). I signed the card on the Volvos trunk lid along with the birthday bags card. I stopped off at home and showed Karina the two different colors in hopefully the correct sizes. Karina approved highly. She asked where I went. I answered glendale galleria and then valencia mall. Karina was like Mikey thats so far. I nodded Yup. But smiled so (way) worth it. Because now Karina knows about Bardwells flower shop (she says her dad loves to know about places like that). Ya All know Im a huge road tripper. So I got an unforgettable adventure out of the whole deal. Right around the balloons delivery time the manager Veronica and mobilehome park maintenance staff person Luiz were passing out the monthly rent statements (bullseye and spot on) because this enabled me to get Marys (so her house wont eat it) and my rent statements for payment in a few days. I love taking Mary to her bank once a month. Well.. thats my story. I gave the birthday bag (containing Crocs and card) to Mary. I didnt let on what they were. It was dark outside so Im sure shell see them when she goes back up into her living room. I didnt spend a million dollars and neither did Karina and it didnt take (forever). But all and all Id like to think we all had fun. Karina was worried earlier that my foot trace would spoil it because it wouldnt be as much of a surprise. I just didnt want to think that way. Did Mary know I was coming with the Crocs (perhaps). She wouldnt know about the two shades of blue or that theyre the right size and type (these are traditional Crocs/meaning side air vents). Mary likes to cut them special for herself (I was extra careful to get both pairs with the easy self tailoring side air vents). With love Mikey.
