Neville Palmers Fight Against Cancer This is Nevilles Story: (Shared from Nevilles Fundraising page ) Primary mole was on the Scalp My name is Neville Palmer. Im a happily married father of 2 boys and 2 girls. My youngest was born on 12/31/14! I was working as an 8th grade social studies teacher on August 31 when I went for a jog after church. On the way home I noticed that I felt funny....dizzy like. I collapsed from a seizure and woke up in the Crittenden County Hospital. They gave me a CT Scan which revealed that I had a few fairly large tumors in my brain. The doctors immediately put me in an ambulance bound for Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN. Within a couple days scans revealed that I also had cancer in my lungs and bones. I was diagnosed with Stage IV Melanoma. The doctors said my prognosis was grim: 2 - 3 months at a minimum to about a year if I was lucky. After looking online I have realized I have about a 15% chance to live 5 years. Needless to say, the news was crippling to our family. the town of Marion, KY, where I was teaching at the time, wrapped its arms around us with donations and other support. Unfortunately, I was unable to continue teaching at Crittenden County Middle School. I ran our of sick and personal days. It seemed every other day I needed to go to Vanderbilt for treatment or the effects of the treatments left me too sick and weak to go to work. The students deserved a fully functioning teacher. Vanderbilt and Baptist Health in Madisonville have both been outstanding hospitals. Ive received cutting edge cancer treatments at both hospitals. I researched melanoma oncologists nationwide. After extensive research I have found Moffitt Center in Tampa, FL. I am trying to raise funds to relocate my family and I to this area so that I can have the best possible treatment for my cancer. I have a wife and 4 small children. I need to be there for them for a long time. Please help me ensure that that will happen by donating. Thank You, Neville Crystale Palmer Crystale Palmer
