This is my last post on 3rd and 4th pup league. We are doing this as a recreational league for kids to get exercise enjoy the game and maybe learn something. It is not in any way an attempt to make our basketball program in Barnesville better. We dont have enough gym time to do this, it was was my hope that we would have a rec center but we dont. I thought not having the 4 graders pressured into playing with the 5 and 6 was a good idea for the majority of 4th graders and lets the 3rd graders join in. I knew that some that had played before it might be too slow for them and some it is still too much. But overall it catches the majority of that age group. If your child is more advanced you most certainly would want to supplement this with maybe a travel team or a more competitive rec league. At this time I feel that it is our best option and we will learn as we go. We hope to incorporate more things and move onto 5 on 5 play as we progress.
