This is my last post on the Officer Wilson and Mike Brown ordeal, - TopicsExpress

This is my last post on the Officer Wilson and Mike Brown ordeal, especially since some of you on here have taken what I have said or posted about and decided to attempt to make this an issue at our place of employment. We wont touch the cowardice within that itself... The issue at hand has absolutely nothing to do with race. The media, race baiters and criminals have driven the race issue with this. This boils down to a matter of an Officer performing the functions of his job and duties, that ultimately led to the death of an individual. That same officer was not indicted by a Grand Jury that was convened to determine whether or not probable cause existed to criminally charge the officer. This jury consisted of multiple race individuals. Apparently those seated within the jury were able to look and see it for what it was. Had it been a White Officer and white kid we would have never known this happened. Had it been a Black Officer and black kid we would have never known this happened. Black Officer and white kid we would have never known this happened. The media grabbed this, ran with it and exploited the shit out of it. I am in no way saying that racism does not exist. Indeed it does, and I have seen many instances of it the past 24 hours. From friends, and coworkers alike consisting of all races at that. However the ordeal in Ferguson, Missouri doesnt have shit to do with racism. It is simply a sworn Officer doing his job, and the media hanging him out to dry before our Justice system even had a chance to determine his guilt or innocence. As with every Officer involved shooting it was investigated and brought to the District or Prosecuting Attorney. The Prosecutor in turn sent it to the Grand Jury for a possible indictment. For 3 months that jury reviewed evidence, heard witness and expert testimony and deliberated to determine the outcome of the totality of the circumstances. The evidence did not lead to even probable cause of a crime being committed. Probable Cause in of itself would have only made it enough to get to trial. Where undoubtedly even more expert and witness testimony would have been presented. This entire investigation and the Grand Jury process has been scrutinized and monitored by the top of the top from the United States Department of Justice. From which all information, witnesses and testimony was shared. The aftermath of the announcement of the Grand Jurys decision does nothing for nobody. It does nothing for the city of Ferguson, the state of Missouri, the United States of America or the world in general. It goes to show the stupidity of people. Loot and burn the livelihood of your communities. Rebel against the very individuals in which you expect to protect you from the very actions in which you are committing. This makes no sense and has nothing to do with drawing attention to racism or injustices within our Justice system.
