This is my mini called Tikka. Shes 7 now, a lovely dog full of personality but has one massive problem, which I think is caused by the fact she wasnt socialised when she was a pup. She is very yappy when she is out, she barks at everything and everybody. She gets very excited when we put the leads on her and my other dog Libby (a Cocker Spaniel) and from the minute we leave ,to the time we get back, high pitched squeals and yapping! Other people comment all the time typical Schnauzer . Is this the case or is it that she wasnt socialised when she was a pup? This behaviour is really getting me down, shes a pleasure to own apart from this and the barking if she hears or sees anybody outside. Any suggestions on how to ease this problem and make her more confident would be greatly appreciated x
