This is my review that just went live on Amazon of Pontotoc native, Carl Purdons book, Norton Road: This review is from: Norton Road (Paperback) I gave Norton Road five stars without even hesitating. Being a voracious reader all my life, I believe my judgement about what makes a book a winner is well honed. Carl Purdon, in my opinion, is the new John Grisham of Mississippi. Norton Road was full of twists, turns and surprises. The authors ability to transport the reader to the scene of the story is exemplary and that is what brings his story to life. Norton Road is sometimes gritty, with the story line compelling you to continue reading when you know it is time to turn off the light and go to sleep. I am excited to find a new young writer from Mississippi and I suggest that you get your first edition copy because I believe it will be a collectors item in the not too far off future. If you like stories set in the South, dont hesitate to get your copy of Norton Road, settle back and enjoy the writing talent of Carl Purdon.
