This is my special plea for Fidel. Fidel is just a stray dog from Bosnia-Herzegovina, he is big and well, pretty ordinary looking dog to many of us. He is also bit unsure of peoples intentions towards him, he does not trust people and he has a good reason for that. He was found from the streets last winter more dead that alive, metal wire embedded so deep in his neck, that it almost slit his throat open completely, he was dying. Edina Pasic saved him and took him to vet, he was treated and his physical woulds healed slowly. But his mental scars are still to be seen. My opinion is that he is first of all, maybe just big grey ordinary looking dog, but he is beautiful and second, he will learn to trust people again. If I can find a person who has time and patience to show him that not all of us are bad. Fidel has been standing in pension waiting for way too long now and he will never improve more if he does not get out from there. This winter will be yet another winter for him to sleep on a wooden pallet basically outside. He is not aggressive dog, he wants to approach you, but he is unsure and bit timid. He is scared of kids so a home or foster without kids would be a must. Not tested on cats, shares his pension box with other dogs, but a place without big dominant males would be ideal. Could you please prove to me again that there is hope for a dog like Fidel, he does deserve better than this. He is not mission impossible, he needs time and safety. Please help us to help Fidel to find a home!!
