This is my universe to a different world then this No bitter people to kiss It’s just my world and I’ve opened the doors To let the birds spread their wings and to soar This is my escape from this world we know While I stand at the window watching that storm With every angry memory I have, the harder the wind blows So many emotions, it’s a tornado that just wants out When I’ve lost the warmth I’m sitting close by the fire Writing out my desires But my fans are the reason I stay alive The reason why I keep writing more It’s the faith and the hope to survive Poetry is the reason I can escape from my bullies at school When they’re on my last nerves and I’m not starting to look like a fool My parents don’t poetry is much to them My fans asking for more To ease each nerve that runs through their brain To ease each and every pain I’m their reason to sing I’m their reason to live No cuts lay upon their skin No suicidal thoughts plunge through their mind Like leeches they are start to cling To the world we thought would be great But those bullies win And they lose hope to this world we know Words come into their brain so kind This is my will to survive To see another smile on a person’s face To hear their words asking for more I’m their reason to stand up from the floor When their abused mother slaps them and calls them a whore I’m their reason to speak up To the world to shut up I’ve been there sitting the in corner I’ve been pushed down by my own classmates But I’ve finally found my fate Expressing how I feel So many emotions out the door of the depths in my heart The more I write, the more I start to heal The more I lock it up, I start to tear apart I’ve been inspiration to you Hopefully you’re words are the truth Because I’m doing my best To show you that you can do what you want in your life Forget those who stab you with a bloody knife I’m here so take my hand We can enter the abyss in my head Where bad don’t exist and it’s dead I’ll show you what heaven feels like This is where you belong In the depth of swirls of these words that surround you Don’t worry, I’ll be there so you don’t feel weak Nobody’s there to push you down on the floor Now you have a reason to stand This is a world you don’t have worry about All the evil has been cast out Now it’s time you listen to the words I’ll say The reason you exist today With every word I say With every heartache I feel from every ex-boyfriend It’s true I want that pain to end It’s true I can’t push it out Because he may have been the one I always thought about Maybe that’s why I feel so weak when I write Trying to cast out my darkness and walk into the light Trying to cast out my mistakes I’ve made in Trigg County High School But people don’t ever let those mistakes run away Because they keep talking about it today But there’s a world in my brain That’ll ease your pain Cast out those rumors about you Where it’s just you and that’s the truth
