This is not an easy post but I am *considering* selling my horse, Frankie to an approved home only. Hes a 15.1hh bay gelding. He is a great beginner horse. He is 19yo but in excellent health. No signs of arthritis or anything like that. Farrier says he actually has very supple and healthy legs. Great feet. Perfect gentleman on the ground and in the saddle. Absolutely no nastiness whatsoever. He loves small children and is very gentle with them. his only problem is that when hes out on his own he can shy at things. Nothing major, just a little freeze or a sidestep from time to time. I would say hes for a confident beginner when out but suit a nervous beginner in an enclosed area like an arena or round yard. Hes been to several clinics and is well behaved around other horses and floats brilliantly. He can neck rein and is good on leg aids but needs work on his trot and canter as he can tend to pace if he feels the rider is unbalanced. He will go over bridges and through water no problem and he loves bush trails. Would only go to the bear of homes if I decided to sell him. Would be $1500 firm. No leases. Gear can be bought separately.
