This is not something I like to do (because no one wants to be asked for favours on Facebook!), and its not something Ive ever done before, but can I ask a huge favour? (And no, this is not a meme!) For the past year or so, Ive been working on a Town of Cobourg Advisory Committee to find a solution for Cobourgs Off-Leash Park problem. Its been challenging because the criteria is rather limiting, and the suitable sites in Cobourg are few and far between. After much effort and a few false starts, a lease has been negotiated on an 8+ acre site on Ontario Street. It will take some work, but the site has amazing potential. Council will be making the decision on whether to move forward or not at the Monday meeting, but not everyone is on board. We need people to email letters of support to council before noon on Monday, March 31st. I have taken the liberty of providing the email addresses and a generic letter below, but I would encourage you to adapt the letter to reflect your own perspective and opinions. If you need more information, please feel free to ask any questions at all, and if you dont agree with the proposal, I understand. I value your friendship too much to ask you to do something you dont believe in. But if you do support this option, it would be pretty awesome if you could send an email!
