This is not what Matt. 24:5 means. It means that people will claim that they are a Christian, they will acknowledge that Christ is the Messiah, but deny the power thereof. How many people do we see that says were a God fearing, Christ believing Bible reading church, but preaches false doctrine. I will put it in todays language. many people will come saying in Jesus name and will preach that Jesus is the Messiah, but will deceive many with their own false doctrines.
