This is nothing new. This argument has been going the rounds for a long time, with various politicians saying that it is OK to leave the Agama field blank if you have an indigenous non-recognised belief, but it is up to the local authorities whether or not to comply with requests. This story will never end unless the people take matters into our own hands. We should mount a campaign to blank out the objectionable sections of the ID card ourselves. There is also no reason whatsoever for information about ones marital or work status to appear on the cards. They too are nobodys business. It might actually be more useful to include a voluntary section for emergency contact names and telephone numbers to be included - without actually specifying their relationship (if any) to the card holder. thejakartaglobe.beritasatu/opinion/editorial-crisis-identify-neednt/
