This is of course a tough day for the BMCC community. We lost - TopicsExpress

This is of course a tough day for the BMCC community. We lost people, including a brother and sister who worked together at Windows on the World. We also lost a building, Fiterman Hall, just ready to open. By the end of day we had over a dozen government agencies in our main building seeking shelter and those of us who remained on campus turned BMCC into a valuable command center for the Port Authority Police, National Guard, Public Health Service and other agencies. My staff, Buildings and Grounds, Public Safety and the College Computer Center, well led by Joseph F. Giummo gave all we got and October 1, despite all the odds being against us, we brought nearly all our students back. To see our students, faculty and staff, who represent 162 countries and every faith in our classrooms studying in peace and tolerance less than a month later was a victory. We won. We now have 27,000 students, many of them right now studying in the new Fiterman Hall overlooking a new World Trade Center. Never give up. Focus on what is important. Fight the good fight. Keep the faith. https://youtube/watch?v=ivvNI6YOr1U
