This is on Port Washington website from their superintendent Contrary to some unfortunate rumors, if a student does refuse to take the assessment, he/she will not be required to simply “sit and stare” in the assessment room. Rather, the student(s) will be permitted to read quietly in a separate section of the room. Assigning students refusing to take the assessments to an alternate location will be considered based upon suitable room availability and proper supervision.
