(AMAHOF) Back ground information on AMAHOF AMAHOF is the peak body for all Martial Arts in the Australasian and South Pacific Region, Covering more than 30 countries. We are affiliated to but not governed by the WKU Inc. (The World Karate Union) Each year we hold an induction dinner in venues around Australia and New Zealand and are now planning to go overseas in support of other countries. On Saturday 17th August a gathering of over 140 martial artists from the Australasian region will be visiting Tasmania for the 17th Australasian Martial Arts Hall of Fame induction. Three prominent Tasmanian Martial Artists will be inducted this week-end Johnny Koay, Frank Hussey and Hanifa Macfarlane. A series of FREE workshops will be held at Wrest Point Wellington room on Saturday from 9.30 until 3.30pm. All Tasmanian martial artists are invited to take part in these hands on rolling workshops, a unique opportunity to train with the cream of the Martial Arts scene in the Australasian region.
