This is one of my earlier tunes. I wrote is specifically to write a song over 3 minutes, since all the songs I wrote beforehand was under 2 minutes. Without the solo, the song would barely be 1 ½ minutes in length. Version 2 of this song is exactly the same as this tune minus the solo work. I knew that I wanted the solo to be mostly rhythm guitar based instead of plucking lead notes like a lead guitarist usually would. I tried my best to get that old, late 50s rock-a-billy feel to it. Hopefully, this homage works on that level. Of course, Buddy Holly inspired this tune. This is song #37. LONG TIME ITS BEEN A LONG, LONG TIME SINCE IVE BEEN ALONE.
