This is one of my favourite Merdeka and Hari Malaysia music videos. The vision as proclaimed by Malaysias first prime minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman, (Malaysia) akan kekal menjadi sebuah demokrasi yang merdeka lagi berdaulat serta berasaskan kebebasan dan keadilan, (translation: should remain an independent and sovereign state based on freedom and equality) must never be abandoned, ever. Every time I hear those words (see video at 2:40) they never fail to bring a tear...because we, as a nation, are drifting further and further away from that vision.
