This is one of my favourite photos of Melanie. I had an outfit very similar to this one made for me by a dear friend and dressmaker, back in 1971 - with the materials, trim and cost for making, all up it was $40 ... a lot of money back then ... nearly my whole fortnights pay!! I still have it to this day, but unfortunately it does not fit any more. Ah well, it is still in very good condition though and I take it out and look at it at least once a month!! Memories ......
