This is one of my posts from a few days ago that I turned into a blog-post. Robb and I made 2 mistakes in the past 9 months, since this is the first time this protocol has ever been used on GBM patients, and we are all learning as we go. The first mistake was to stop boosting with the Coley vaccine for 2 weeks in June. Then, when we re-started, we had no idea how to re-dose because you lose tolerance over time, so we started at too low of a dose again to have any effect. I would estimate Robb had no Coleys coverage for a month. The second mistake was to lower the dose from 3 to 2 times weekly in September, thinking it would be enough coverage. It wasnt. So, you 3 GBM patients out there on this protocol... you know who you are... please learn from our mistakes. You need to keep boosting to overcome tolerance. If youre not experiencing reactions, you need to increase your dose by a unit, and keep doing so each time you overcome tolerance. Sore arms and a few hours of fever now and then is a lot less painful than losing important functions and getting your skull drilled into, or at least Id imagine. blog.coleys.org/2014/10/dr-polly-matzinger-discusses-danger.html
