This is one of my very favorite songs. I have fallen so many times in my life and have been crushed by the world. Christ never promised me smooth sailing; He promised to always be with me. Though many times He could and has calmed my seas; there have been just as many times when He calmed His child by giving me an anchor to ride out the storm. My life and my testimony are defined by these storms. I give Him the glory for the victories over them and for making me stronger. I have learned these victories come when I give Him my fears and trust Him for deliverance. He is my anchor in all things. God never sleeps; He is aware of every cloud on the horizon. He simply wants us to come to Him. He wants to be our safe harbor. Praying you all have smooth sailing. When that is not possible, may you find shelter His love.
