This is one of the hardest statuses I know I will ever make. I know this doesnt pertain to the store but this store is my life and so is my family. I know we have many prayer warriors among the members here so I am reaching out to you. For those of you who dont already know her, the beautiful person sitting beside me in this pic is my niece, Carol. Carol is 36 yrs young. She has two beautiful daughters, Cheyenne (11), who wasnt there yesterday when this pic was taken, and Brooklyn (5), who is sitting on my lap. Carol is more like a daughter to me. Her mother (my sister, Cheryl) and I lived beside each other when Carol and her brothers were growing up. My sister was a single mom raising 3 kids on her own and going to college to become a teacher and give her kids a better life. Because I was a stay-at-home mom at the time and lived next door, my sisters kids became like my own, especially in my heart. I would lay down my life for any one of them, just as I would my own. Last week, we got the devastating news that Carol is now beginning a fight for her life. She was diagnosed with cervical cancer. We dont know much more than that at this time as far as stages, etc. Carol goes for a pre-op appt tmrw so hopefully we will know more then. I know that cervical cancer is very treatable if caught early enough and Im trusting God for a complete recovery for Carol. Im sharing this with you because we need for you to join us in prayer. Im pleading with you...nothing has ever meant more to me than this. We have to reach the throne of God and He has to take care of this. I cant express how important this is to me and to my family, especially Carol and those two precious girls of hers. They need her. Please uphold her in prayer and pray without ceasing until we have the wonderful news that she is cancer-free. Thank you in advance.
