This is one of the most amazing things Ive ever watched. A video - TopicsExpress

This is one of the most amazing things Ive ever watched. A video of my dearest friend Sajdahs father (Abdel Nacer Aggag) who was murdered in the Rabaa massacre last year in Egypt, speaking about our role in this world and in fighting injustice. This was way back in 2007, before the 2011 revolution, and the coup. And the brutality, and the bloodshed. I roughly translated the first few minutes, which hit me hard. So called religious people have left this society to be ruled by monsters. They see the injustice, and they are silent. There are people in this society, who see this injustice day and night, and I just cannot understand how they can sleep. I am not talking about a Muslim, or Christian, or Jewish plight in particular. There are monsters ruling this world now. Who is standing for the poor, the weak? Who is standing for every person suffering from injustice? How can our souls rest? How? These are the questions we must ask ourselves. The injustice surrounds us from every direction, yet no-one can feel it except for those suffering from it. A day will come when you will be the one being oppressed. What will your feelings be? How can we sleep? Time is precious. Time is running out for you to do something, change something, or to even move. So how can you just waste time? How? How can you let a day pass without adding something, changing something in your society? How can I change? Well this is a question you need to answer yourself. Every single one of us has a role, and everyone must do something. We were born into a world full of injustice, and who can change it but us? To fulfil our role, we will inevitably be hurt. And it will be impossible for you to fulfil your duty without wanting to get hurt. If you take a stand, the day will come when you will be imprisoned, or perhaps something will happen to your money or your children. Anything. But that is the price, for fulfilling your role in society. These words. Spoken by a man who was killed six years later, for taking a stand for the freedoms and rights he believed we, as humans, should have. A man who paid the ultimate price to challenge the cruelty of this world. To the highest heavens 3mo.
