This is one of the stories of the "Hidden Realm" in Newfolden. The stories that have been written so far barely have begun to scratch the surface of the hidden realm. Stories of the “Hidden Realm”, the Evangelist threatens the strongman’s hold on Newfolden and he rallies his forces. What will the outcome be? The Watchman; Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will speak to you. Then the Spirit entered me when He spoke to me, and set me on my feet; and I heard Him who spoke to me. And He said to me: “Son of man, I am sending you to the children of Israel/Newfolden, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against Me; they and their fathers have transgressed against Me to this very day. For they are impudent and stubborn children. I am sending you to them and you shall say to them, “Thus says the Lord God.’ As for them, whether they hear or whether they refuse—for they are a rebellious house—yet they will know that a prophet has been among them. “And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you dwell among scorpions; do not be afraid of their words or dismayed by their looks, though they are a rebellious house. You shall speak my words to them, whether they hear or whether they refuse, for they are rebellious. But you, son of man, hear what I say to you. Do not be rebellious like that rebellious house; open your mouth and eat what I give you.” Now when I looked, there was a hand stretched out to me; and behold, a scroll of a book was in it. Then He spread it before me; and there was writing on the inside and on the outside, and written on it were lamentations and mourning and woe. Ezekiel chapter 2 nkjv. A little more scripture, Look can you see and understand? Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and say to them: ‘When I bring the sword upon a land, and people of the land take a man from their territory and make him their watchman, when he sees the sword coming and warns the people, then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be on his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, but did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But he who takes warning will save his life. But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.’ So son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel/Newfolden; therefore you shall hear a wore from My mouth and warn them for Me. When I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you shall surely die!’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul… Ezekiel 33: 1-… nkjv. A call is made to one of the church leaders in Newfolden an offer is made for a nationally/world know speaker to come and hold a series of meetings in town. This will be the first evangelistic meetings this man has had for a while since sin, personal tragedy and destruction has affected his life and home. An offer is made by the Singer, the Singer and the man/Evangelist feel it’s the leading of the Spirit of God that they come, ‘Offer made.’ The Watchman shouldn’t know this is taking place because he is really an outsider with no church authority he just is placed in places at certain times and sees and hears certain things He is a man moved by the Spirit of God daily as he lives out his life and is spiritually alert both in what he sees and what he hears the Spirit of the Lord says to him. The Spirit of the lord moves upon him and says, “Test all things.” The Singer is going to be in the area and the Watchman goes to hear him and than not by chance, but divine appointment sits down with this man at a table for coffee. The Watchman really doesn’t have to say anything because the Singer begins to show who he is in Christ and his concern for souls. The Watchman notices that the Singer looks around and is careful who hears him talk about the need for people to come to Christ as they sit in this very liberal church. The Singer shows his heart for Christ and the test has been made. Singer passes the test he is the go between, between the Evangelist and the Newfolden community. The Singer and the Evangelist will be coming to town. Now to get things put in motion. Are they ready for the war? It will come. Meetings are called for and an evangelistic committee comes out of the wood work from who knows where and more meetings and more people show up and here we go plans are beginning to be made. There’s even an evangelistic bank account who would have guessed, but someone does and things keep progressing. Counselor training takes place even right down to using certs or gum so that your breath is fresh as you talk to people who respond to the message. Posters made, radio stations contacted, posters send to churches far and wide. Someone, somewhat, famous is coming to town and all the churches get involved. Prayer is set up for 24 hours a day, people commit to pray for a period of time during the day and night, but no mention of the spiritual war that may start, no mention of the need of the armor mention in Ephesians or what we might encounter. This will be left up to those who enter into the battle. The soldiers of the Cross, who are they? The Singer, the Evangelist, the Watchman and maybe a few others will enter the fray not because they want to, but because they have to, to survive and carry on spiritually. Interesting note; There is still a evangelistic bank account in Newfolden it has been just sitting dormant since these meeting took place years ago, I not sure it has been used since and the bank sends the statements to one of the pastors that was not one of the pastors in Newfolden at the time these meetings took place. Interesting, but this may have been the last time the churches came together for evangelistic meetings, could this be true. I wonder did something happen in the hidden realm and we never even noticed. Oh, the insignificant Watchman noticed… he knows. Almost time for evangelistic meeting to begin… * note from some one, to set the record straight the fund that was set up is still used to rent the gym for Good Friday services or any other functions that the Newfolden Ministerial sponsors. Good Friday offerings go through that fund and are dispersed each year. Evening before the meetings begin things start to change in the hidden realm the Strongman’s forces are being rally and positioned for war. Who’s aware??? Some are about to stand because they have to and others will fail, but its time to go to war. The Watchman is sitting resting at home and the Spirit of the Lord calls on him to rise up, “Now you must go.” The Watchman is called to go to the building where the meetings are to be held the next night. He is to stand and than kneel in front of the building and clean it out. He is to remove the demons that have come to wage war. He will not do this in any of his own abilities or powers, but only by the power he has in Christ Jesus. Thus instead of standing he is to humbly knee and rely and the power of Christ. He is to raise his arms and remove the demons like Moses parting the Red sea. Moses said, “Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.” The Watchman discusses this with the Spirit of God and kind of complains that it’s late and the cop that lives in town might drive by and see him and ask what he’s doing. He falls asleep on the couch and thinks nothing more of it, till… The Watchman fails. The Singer and the Evangelist are in a little battle themselves it is now the middle of the night and Defeat/a demon comes to them and starts to wage war with the Evangelist he is alone in his room and tired he has been busy speaking in and traveling from Europe to make his way to Newfolden. The demon throws everything in his face, his weaknesses, his marriage and children. Hey! your just a disaster, you’re a failure… The demons don’t play nice. The Evangelist goes to the Singer’s room and they wage war in prayer together and victory is found and Defeat is defeated and he will have to be replaced or try again himself at a later time. He or his replacement will surely try again and the Watchman sleeps and even the Spirit of God cannot raise him for he failed in his duty. He sleeps the night away and rises in the morning forgetting what he was asked to do. The demons take up their positions they have there eye’s on some weak spots like a pastor, pastors wife, counselor and have positioned themselves for quick access to the people. Almost time for the show to begin… The 24 hours of pray may have gone on or not gone on as time for the meeting has almost arrived. The Watchman has gone about his day and has been at the place where the evangelistic meetings are to be held earlier in the day and sees nothing, but as he comes back later in the day he now sees in the spiritual realm… As he arrives at the place he meets a lady and two young people they are outside waiting for the building to open. She begins to share with the Watchman and another man why she has come. She has brought her daughter and her daughter’s airman boy friend to the meeting to get saved (give their lives to Jesus). She doesn’t know what else to do and she saw a poster in the mall and has come. In the gospels people brought those who were sick to Jesus and this is what this mother has done the Watchman and the other man say they will pray and this they do together. They tell know one and later in the meeting the Evangelist as he speaks shares a story that fits so perfectly the situation the young couple is in. How does the Evangelist know? Oh, by the Spirit of the living God, that’s how. As the alter call is given at the end of the service the Watchman is ask by the Spirit of God that he and his wife walk up the center isle of the meeting place to the alter. He takes his wife by the hand and she resists, but he tugs her along for he has been called to move and he moves for this young couple. You see God’s Spirit is calling the young airman to come on to Him, but he just can’t quite get up and move towards Christ and the Watchman is called upon to lead the way. The young couple comes to the alter, following behind the Watchman and his wife to receive Christ. After talking with the lady the Watchman enters the building still unaware of what awaits… he moves around the building and meets and greets different people who have showed up and after a time enters into the room where the meeting will take place and… his eye’s are now opened to the hidden realm. As he enters the room he sees in the spiritual and instantly begins to repent for not being obedient to the Holy Spirit’s call the night before, he remembers the call to go and pray before the building and is deeply grieved that he didn’t and repents for not doing so. What does he see??? He sees the forces of the Strongman and they are many waiting for the people to come. The demons are suspended in the air just below the ceiling and they number in the hundreds. He tries to get someone to pray with him, for you see two are better than one, but no one will, nor does anyone understand. After a time he finds an older man a man who has stood by him before over the years and he understands. This man and the watchman go down a hallway and take up a position for war and the Watchman does what he was asked to do the night before and the old man doesn’t waver or doubt and the hordes suspended in the room are pushed back and have to retreat to a different position to regroup. They will have to be more careful. They will start coming into the meetings hidden in and amongst the people. The service goes on the Singer sings, the Evangelist speaks and the airman and his girl friend and some others responded to the call to receive Christ and the counselors counsel and the building closes till the next service. The watchman and his wife never signed up for the 24 hour prayer thing but find themselves on their knees by the couch praying as the Watchman’s evening still is not over and he has to travel to another town and it is very late at night. This trip will never be forgotten, ever forgotten. One of his children was planning to go with him to help with what needs to be done, but falls asleep while his parents pray. The father just decides to leave him home doesn’t wake him and leaves the house. He turns and sees the child right on his heels. The Spirit of God has a plan. They leave for the other town and the child just falls asleep and doesn’t wake to help his father and as they start the trip back to their home. And, now… The Spirit of God is going to do some work he speaks through the father to prepare the child for the next evening service. ‘For many are called, but few are chosen.’ The child is told a story to prepare him to help someone come to Christ at the next service for you see a boy is going to say to the him I should have gone forward and the child is being prepare to answer the call and bring the other boy. And this he does at the next service. You see the father spoke words to his son and the son took note and at the service action was taken by the son. And a young boy comes to Christ. This boy is one of the chosen of God, but why this boy? Will time tell? God knows the timing. Before the next evening service the counselors are gather in a room and the leader/retired pastor talks and leads them in prayer after he’s done praying… one of the counselors speaks. Why would he say what he is saying? He tells some men to go and tell the Evangelist not to have an alter call. He says, “We don’t need to be doing that.” He is very forceful and determined that there is no need for an alter call, “Tell him/the Evangelist.” As two of the men walk down the hallway they just look at each other a little astounded and amazed and never say anything to the Evangelist. One of the demons has tried again to gain ground, but the only ground gained was in the life of the counselor. Service goes on… Before the next evening service the demons now take control of one of the pastors from town and he goes to the Evangelist and tell him he must speak on this the spirit of the lord said you must speak on this. The Evangelist is so gracious with him and says that he can speak on that sometime himself and the service goes on. The Evangelist, the Watchman and another man talk about what went on and commit the pastor to prayer that the demon that has affected him with loose his hold on the pastor. If that doesn’t happen than they will go to him and loose him from the demon that is controlling him. The pastor is lost to this demon for about a week and than finds freedom. Victory has come for the pastor. At one of the services during the alter call a pastor’s daughter is going to respond. Her mother asked what she is doing and now pride enters in. The mother stops the daughter and tell her not to go forward to the alter that her father can take care of that at home. I wonder what the outcome was… ‘Today if you hear His voice…do not harden your hearts.’ Another couple came from the cities and the man is called by the Spirit of God and gives his life to Christ, but his live in girl friend isn’t interested and a few of the counselors were trying to get her to give her life to Christ. The Spirit of God has not called her, but they persisted. Do we operate in the Spirit or in the flesh? The Watchman steps in and tells leaders to leave her alone she isn’t ready to give her life to Christ this would happen later. Her boy friend after a week or so tells her he can’t live with her any longer as the Spirit of God who now dwells in him is holy and their relationship is sinful and the Spirit of God is making him a new creature. ‘Behold old things pass away, all things become new.’ ‘You shall be holy for I am holy.’ She can not understand this, but in time she too gives her life to Christ. The sign… There is a sign that had been put up for the meetings and only a few, very few, maybe three in town know of what has taken place in the Evangelist’s life and home before he came to Newfolden, but the demons know. The sign is changed one evening to say something else and this could greatly affect the Evangelist. For you see his wife has left him for what is not natural and left him to raise his children alone. A woman sees the sign and begins to point and mock as the Watchman and his wife stand by her. She notices that the man and his wife find this not at all funny and she somewhat quiets herself, but has a hard time hiding the pleasure she gets from reading the sign. The Watchman crosses the street and changes the sign so the Evangelist doesn’t see what has been put on the sign. The demons have made another attempt to destroy. The lady who mocks has grown up in the church and is given the impression that she’s bound for heaven by her pastor and church, but the scriptures would say something quite different... than what she is told at church. The meetings go on some come to Christ, but really very few from the Newfolden community. A few meetings are held after the Singer and Evangelist leave Newfolden to talk about what to do next and about checking on those who have made decisions for Christ at the meetings. In one meeting the Watchman says that we really didn’t reach many people for Christ from town, but that most who responded to the gospel message were from out of the area. This causes a little flurry of emotions for awhile with one of the pastors and one older wise man calms the storm. Will we join together again? Can we?? It has been years since this Evangelist came to town and the churches came and worked together in an effort to reach the lost. Bethlehem was involved with there pastor and one old lady who remember the old evangelistic services in the area. Westaker was involved with their pastor and some of its people. The Evangelical Free Church with its interim pastor and its people. The New Hope Church was involved and its people. The pastor from Bethesda Church in Strandquist was also involved. Will we join together again? Can we?? Did the strongman and his forces gain ground or loose ground? Things look good in Newfolden bigger new churches, but really what is going on in the HIDDEN REALM. Can you see what the eye can not see? And Ezekiel prayed and said to his servant, “Now look and tell me what do you see? What do you see?” pdw I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long suffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
