This is one of the stories that makes me happy i played a small part in the Occupy movement. Aside from being one of the biggest relief efforts after Sandy, outpacing all charities and even FEMA, and after the solar light bulb aid in detroit, lighting detroit with solar light in the streets when the power went out. Occupy Wall Street has been able to purchase ~$15,000,000 in debt. Mainly medical debt. For $400,000 What theyve done is taken advantage of the debt collection market where companies buy debt for pennies on the dollar and then collect that debt for a profit. Except what Occupy did is abolish the debt.... clearing almost 15 million in medical debt. This was medical debt for 2,693 people. All in all I think everyone would agree this is good. Despite some conservative friends Ive known who have told me that Occupy is a bunch of hippies who dont know or do anything real. But what does Glenn Beck think? Glenn Beck said this reminds him of Golden Dawn, a neo-natzi political party in Greece who have been under investigation for murder. Not that Occupy reminds him of Golden Dawn for some odd reason... but that act itself. It seems to me that for some people it doesnt matter WHAT you do... or HOW good it is... if you are liberal you are evil and thats that... What do you guys think? Does anyone listen to Glenn Beck? Does anyone agree with what he said?
