This is one of those projects that I really dont have the time - TopicsExpress

This is one of those projects that I really dont have the time for, but when asked, I could hardly say no - because i knew it would be just too much fun: A couple weeks ago, the cool cats at Crocodile Creek wondered if I would design a wooden block puzzle that would allow kids to assemble 6 distinct buildings -- but would also be mixed and matched to create an INFINITE number of goofy buildings. I told them that technically there would be more here than meets the eye. You cant simply have 6 different colored buildings - theyd all have to be essentially the same color to make the mix and match aspect work -- and in doing so, you also cant have elements bleed from one block to the next. Imagery, colors and details have to be clearly contained within each of the 9 two inch square blocks - that comprise 6 distinct buildings. So I created a single template for a basic building -- making sure that everything (roof lines, walls, floors, etc) would line up as you switched block A, block B, block, C. etc. Look, Im NO mathematician, so if ANYONE can figure out how many possible combos could be created out of 6 buildings comprised of 9 blocks each, Im all ears.
