This is one of those songs I play 40 times over when Im sad or pissed off or at a loss what to do. It doesnt make me feel better, and I think its about a gay man telling a young gay boy who dresses like shit , by the way,to go out and have fun, hes had his already, is out of the game, perhaps happily in love. Nat Wallace made it into a format I could hear, then it came out on youtube anyway. So in that sense I can no way relate to it. My time would probably be better spent practising a loving kindness meditation, but I always fall down at the bit where you have to send it to people you are cross with, bloody hard. But I was with the most wonderful 12 year old the other night and she can do it so I suppose its just practise. In the meantime, its Rufus, then a long job in St Johns Wood ( yes, like in the Stones song, but messy, probably) then a farewell to my pals at The Dolls House. Long day, long night.
