This is one of two referendum discussion groups Ive spent time on over the last few days, with a combined membership of some 16,000. Ive been hoping to find some NO voters to debate against. I should have expected more than 8,000 to choose from if presstitute-run polls are anything to go by, since there is nothing on either group to suggest either side is encouraged over the other. But the tiny handful of NOs I have come across have nothing to offer but either vague, uninformed gut reaction (usually based around confused notions about preserving loyalties and symbolisms) or trite ad-hominem attacks against Alex Salmond. They have come across as pessimistic little people, mumbling to themselves in the shadows. By contrast, I have seen a wealth of posts and links from many intelligent, articulate, positive critical thinkers from the YES camp. So for what my amatuer forecast is worth, its going to be a Turkey shoot, folks - Mines a double Islay malt!
