This is our last night in Seattle. Last radiation treatment is tomorrow. Its strange, Seattle has become such a part of our lives; weve made many wonderful friends and memories here. I am SO looking forward to getting home. I miss my family, my students, my dog, my cats......my own kitchen. We had our last meeting with the radiation oncologist today, who continues to be thrilled with her treatment. His words were I expect good things from here on out. AHHHHHHHHHH!!!! It makes me so happy to hear that!!! We have three more months of high-dose chemo (in Spokane), with stem cells given after each round. They call it stem-cell rescue. Without the stem cells, Abbys bone marrow would have a very difficult time making more healthy blood, due to the toxic doses of chemotherapy, which is what is needed to finish slaying this dragon. We are so grateful for all your continued love and prayers. Thank you.
