This is part two part of a series on the latter rain. Ezekiel 37:1-10 New International Version (NIV) The Valley of Dry Bones 37 The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. 2 He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. 3 He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.” 4 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5 This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath[a] enter you, and you will come to life. 6 I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’” 7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them. 9 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’” 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army. Adam was no more than modeled clay before the breath of God entered Him. He looked like a man, but there was no life. It was not until God breathed His Spirit into him was he a man. The church was born on the day of Pentecost. Everything was there to look like a church, it was not the body of Christ till God breathed His Spirit into it. It was dead, not alive nothing but a shell, but then God breathed into it and things started to happen. Israel had died as a nation. Not only was she dead her bones were covered with dust. Could she live again? Only God knew and now we see her alive, growing and affecting the world. God called the Jews from the four winds of the earth and created a new nation. The church is asleep she is dead and dust covers her bones. Where are the miracles, raising the dead, and change of lives. 2 Timothy 3:5 New International Version (NIV) 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. The form of a church is there, body, but where is the breathe? Where is the power? God said not by might, not by power, but by my Spirit. In these last days God said He will pour out His Spirit. Now I ask you; if God poured out His Spirit on the day of Pentecost and did what He did, what is yet to come? We are closer to the end now than then. That was a deposit if we have learned anything with Jesus the best is yet to come. Wake up O sleeper. He is breathing into the dead bones His breathe. The latter rain is upon us. Pastor Jeff Lane
