This is perhaps the greatest speech of all time. It goes directly to the heart of all issues we as Americans have faced in the past, those facing us now and any we encounter in the future. Its point is clear. Hope. As long as Americans have hope and remember WHO WE ARE and in whom we place our faith we will prevail. Against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC. This is what should be taught to our children, should be required in every school in America. Because this is how we defeat our enemies. This is how we overcome the divisions between us, be it race, politics, religion, or any other. This is how we achieve what was promised to us: Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, not the guarantee of it. It is in this pursuit that we find all three ideals are within our grasp. We must simply let go of the hatred, bigotry and other things that do nothing but weaken us, and fight together as Americans for these ideals. When we can all do this, it will be in that moment the world will, once again, look to this country in awe. As it should be.
