Once God has saved HIS LAST SOUL and matured that soul in His faith and righteousness THIS WORLD SHALL NOT CONTINUE ANY LONGER. There is good and bad news depending on which side of the fence the fate of your soul is placed on in that we are at the very end of time and space on this cursed earth. Once a blessed soul is sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise within the heart there is no way that soul will ever lose his’/hers’ eternal salvation. Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. The Heavenly Father who is the Author of the ‘good works’ (which He, NOT MAN, began in His Elect) will ‘perform it’ (continuous tense) until the day of Jesus the Christ, when we shall receive our sinless immortal bodies! God the Son, Christ Jesus, states concerning the SEALING UP of the SOULS by the Father in John 6:27, “Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: FOR HIM hath GOD THE FATHER SEALED.” John 6:37 ALL that the FATHER GIVETH ME SHALL COME to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. The blessed Son of God also stated in the plainest of terms in John 6:39, “And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that OF ALL which HE HATH GIVEN ME I should LOSE NOTHING, but should raise it up again at the last day.” Once God has saved a soul by His grace and mercy, HE SHALL CONTINUALLY WORK OUT THAT SOULS SALVATION through the GOOD WORKS OF FAITH in Christ Jesus and it will never be lost. Since NO CONDITION IN MAN DETERMINES HIS BEING CHOSEN, because Scripture teaches unconditional election, it stands to reason that there is nothing he can do to get himself “unsaved” once he has been saved by God’s grace baptized in the Holy Spirit coupled with the Word of fire. John 10:28 And I GIVE unto THEM ETERNAL LIFE; and THEY SHALL NEVER PERISH, NEITHER SHALL ANY MAN pluck them out of my hand [Sovereign will and Omnipotent power]. How long is the salvation that God gives the elect? Will the elect sheep of the Good Shepherd ever perish? Whose word do we take mans or God’s? The ELECT ARE SEALED with that everlasting Spirit of promise by the Father on behalf of His Son. II Timothy 4:18 And the LORD SHALL DELIVER ME from every evil work, and WILL PRESERVE ME unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Psalm 37:28 For the LORD loveth judgment, and FORSAKETH NOT HIS SAINTS; they are PRESERVED FOR EVER: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. Psalm 97:10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: HE PRESERVETH THE SOULS OF HIS SAINTS; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. Psalm 121:7 The LORD SHALL PRESERVE THEE from all evil: HE SHALL PRESERVE THY SOUL. Psalm 121:8 The LORD SHALL PRESERVE thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and EVEN FOR EVERMORE. Yes, the Saints of God will be “preserved” because the Saviour declares that He will preserve them for His holy name’s sake and God will keep them. If perseverance depended upon fickle man with his fallen sin nature, he would be hopeless. Perseverance of the saints is dependent upon UNMERITED FAVOR, which is GRACE, granted to us because Christ died for us where the atonement we have by His righteous blood was limited to the Elect. That election, praise the Lord Amen, was not based upon some condition of good foreknown to be in mankind since the Bible states clearly in seven different areas of Scripture, “there is NONE that DOETH GOOD, NO NOT ONE.” By the grace of the Almighty God it was an unconditional election because no condition could be found in man for him to merit salvation! No condition could be found because man is totally depraved, i.e., totally incapable of exercising any good will towards God in of ourselves. Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were SEALED with that holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 4:30 And GRIEVE NOT the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are SEALED unto the day of redemption. II Corinthians 1:21-22 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, IS GOD; 22) Who hath also SEALED US, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I WILL NEVER LEAVE THEE, NOR FORSAKE THEE. Jude 24-25 Now unto Him [Jesus the Christ] that IS ABLE TO KEEP YOU FROM FALLING, and TO PRESENT YOU FAULTLESS before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. Songs 4:13-14 Thy plants are an orchard of pomegranates, with pleasant fruits; camphire, with spikenard, 14) Spikenard and saffron; calamus and cinnamon, with all trees of frankincense; myrrh and aloes, with all the chief spices: Songs 4:15 A fountain of gardens, a well of living waters, and streams from Lebanon. These verses above are still referring to the garden of the LORD being of His beloved bride, the eternal Church of Israel. Earlier in this chapter I examined the use of the pomegranates starting back on page 179. The “pleasant fruits” of course are in reference to the fruits of God the Holy Spirit {Gal. 5:22-23, I Tim. 6:11-12}. Back in chapter 1 of this book dealing with the verse Songs 1:14, I examined “camphire” in great detail where the Hebrew definition for that word including: ransom, atonement, to cover, purge, make reconciliation, forgive, merciful, and cleansed. Of course, all of these specific terms relate directly to Christ Jesus’ death on the Cross and His resurrection back up into heaven for the atonement, purging, and cleansing of His people’s sins. Spikenard, saffron, calamus, and cinnamon are all plants used for aromas, cooking spices, and/or cooling of the body, etc. These different plants relate in the spiritual realm to the many different members/functions within Christ’s chosen body. Remember the garden inclosed in the paradise of God is in reference to the spouse of the KING of kings (verse 12), the eternal Church itself. So the plants within the garden of Christ are linked to the blessed souls of everlasting life. • A Fountain of Gardens, A Well of Living Waters {Songs 4:15} Christ’s beloved bride is symbolically and metaphorically mentioned in this 4th chapter as a garden inclosed, a spring shut up, a fountain sealed, a fountain of gardens, a well of living waters with streams flowing from Lebanon. A well of living waters is in reference to the Word of faith coupled with the Holy Spirit. Post #90 will continue with Songs 4:15 dealing with the phrase A Fountain of Gardens, A Well of Living Waters at a later date, Lord willing and able.
