This is powerful video of a young man being confronted by what appears to be three or four family members including his parents because he told them that he is gay. Please, if you know someone who is gay, no matter what your judgment of their being gay is, watch this video. Then keep in mind that many, many, many LGBT people go through this very ordeal - or worse - when they come out to family. I went through a similar ordeal that lasted for hours and hours and was for a while disowned by my family. Even my grandmother, who I loved with all my heart, disowned me because she said she followed the Bible. Can you imagine your parents doing this to you? Disowning you because of who you are and who you were at birth? Calling you a disgrace and a piece of shit? Physically attacking you? Then throwing you out of the house? This is what LGBT people fear from their families, and worst from friends and strangers. And all too often, our fears come true. How can anyone call this doing the work of God? How can anyone accept or turn their back on this kind of hate and violence toward Gods children? How can you stand silent while this is happening? Or worse, participate in it?
