This is pretty heavy duty. While I understand Russias concern for The Crimea and the irregularity of the government transition in Kyiv, I dont think it is our place as Americans to police affairs in all the territories of the world, just because we can, or naively think we can. Crimea is certainly well within Russias legitimate sphere of national security interests, so lets not look foolish as if we dont understand why they would do what theyve done, or push them to a much harder stance. It is pretty obvious the US has been helping pry Ukraine out from under Russias very large thumb. Our government and probably a lot of our people prefer an independent Ukraine. Russia is nervous with this, partly due to security matters with Georgia and Ukraine , Russias former empire is really weakened and Western political influences draw even nearer. I think this reporter feels that she is no longer producing the news or a balancing point of view. Probably under these circumstances the State has more directly exercised control beyond where she is comfortable. Good move!
