This is probably one of the most important and meaningful songs I have ever written because it has to do with one of the most important things in our life....our friends. I must tell this.....We have some really great neighbors and friends who live across the street from us, Pastor Matt Thomas and his wife Bev who at times out of the goodness of their heart brings our family food. Not because they have to but because Matt, his wife and family are giving and compassionate people. They are good friends to us! The other day when Alana Coleman made her unstuffed cabbage rolls right at dinner time I heard a knock on the door and it was Joel, Matt and Bevs youngest son and with him was a whole bowl of freshly made dinner rolls and they were delicious! The thing of it is we had no bread to go with our dinner. Amazing huh? Good friends who will do anything for us even die for us are a treasure to hold onto forever. Theyre with us when were sad and when were happy; they never walk away even when the going gets tough. FYI I would like nothing better for this song one day to be used as a television theme song that has to do with none other than Friends because the inspiration is real.
