This is probably the most personal quintessential 70s song for me. It epitomizes my childhood, as if I had heard it coming out of the womb. This is likely an inaccuracy as our memories play tricks. When I hear this song, I think of pastel colors and artistic brushstrokes of some portrait I cannot not quite frame in my mind. I also hear conversations about Van Gogh and Monet somewhere in Paris. I see leather seats in these big muscle cars of the 1970s. I also smell milk and donuts from Tastees, a donut franchise in New Orleans, LA.
