This is rather long but lets hope someone will be encouraged. Its a true story... In Dec 2013 l didnt even have any bro close enough to call an admirer even. I was totally single! When l got home for the hols l learnt that sis Rhoda Onyango was getting married at long last on 22nd Dec. Shed bn faithfully serving God with KSCF from time immemorial. That l vowed nt to miss. I had a car bt l didnt have fuel and l posted on fb for people to help fuel and we go for the wedding in Bondo. Rev Agumba phoned me almost immediately that shed fuel as she had 2 spiritual daughters she wanted to attend that wedding. Turned out they were sisters in late 20s and early 30s fretting abt marriage opportunities being scarce. She wanted them to hear my testimony too. Im a senior single sis. I shared why l wld still rather wait on God despite my age and that l was convinced God had a son somewhere he was preparing to be my husband. And even if no one ever turned up l was willing to be returned to sender but having kept the faith. If no one married me,and l bear His name as l did,even His name wld be part of the shame. So we enjoyed the wedding which was so beautiful and on the way back,one of the sis, Pauline,declared that shed faithfully wait on God and she was at peace. On 28th Dec, Rev Agumba was retiring fr parish work to go conc on Evangelising in Turkana. I and Pauline were there of coz! We are proud Agumbalets! Archdeacon Okoyo was the preacher and also talked to the congregation abt a FEP investment people could follow up with him. Pauline was interested in the investment and went to see the Archdeacon in his home on 31st Dec. While there, the Archdeacons son saw her,loved her and on 19th January declared that she was his choice and love and wanted to marry her! Voila! Yeah and hes visited her people for introduction. Wedding in Dec just as mine! We are working on the dates not to clash as we must dance in each others wedding plus Rev Agumba must fully attend both! This God!
