This is real...I have LIVED it with pre teen children. I am SO thankful to have been their advocate. Slowly we have planted our feet into a new life...me being a single mother to them now...but they are free. It could have been much worse for them, had I not had the relationship with them that I did...they told me. They spoke up. They were each others advocate and sometimes weekly, even tho I make mistakes they say...dont worry mom, youre doing good, at least we dont have to go back there. Sometimes I wonder if there is more to the story...either way, they told me, and thank me repeatedly.
