This is really interesting. It reminds me of last spring when my shoulder was already damaged. Since I am me, I didnt cut out concerts and operas or driving to and from Boston and NYC from my home. The lessons by my Alexander Teacher helped a lot, but the only times I was pain free was immersed in the operas or concert music. The pain free comfort lasted after the performances,too. Then of course came the last performances of May 11th, and my wonderful musical pain killers stopped. Last August 29th , I found a ride to a rehearsal of A Far Cry. The very first live notes I found tears streaming down my face and realized the pain from my shoulder operation.was not a bother. What is it about live music that is so very different from canned music?
