This is really interesting. Note that Mohler said the most difficult text to preach for him is the Psalms cause because the emotion and suffering in the Psalter is so intense and corporate that it is outside the experience of most American Christians. and that the suffering he has experienced in his life does not match the pathos of Psalms. I can totally agree with him there, but with one caveat - the Psalms that talk about personal betrayal and those who go about speaking evil of the psalmist and attacking his character.
