This is sad and yet so true! However, I love my hair and my weave... however we are creative and beautiful all the same. Division within hair and weave did not come from slavery. White women preference came from the result of all the killings and the separation of the black male from the black female. The trap comes in when you project your reasoning upon another because you desire to step out of weave. IF we never let go of perms, weaves, or any other beautifier, that makes us no less of a woman than a white woman or any other for that matter. We as Black women are less chosen because we fall victim to bitterness, anger and resentment instead of wonderful, amazing and fantastic attitudes. We fall victim to measuring up instead of embracing our versatility. If you look at it. WE are the ONLY race who can be an array of beauty and with justification... INSIDE me is the seed to ALL women! SO you see... I AM that WOMAN, THAT I AM!!! For without me... there is no SHE!
