This is serious: Continual cycles between flooding and drought - TopicsExpress

This is serious: Continual cycles between flooding and drought wash away, damage and destroy the green, lush, diverse networks of native vegetation, of entire habitats, ecosystems of plants and animals, especially deep roots of trees that cultivate the soil enough to make topsoil (organic that holds the water) and to hold the water to the earth, to its fragile green ecosystem that can move the water from the land to the plants to the water and back daily to produce O2, to absorb CO2 (to prevent climate change), to filter water for drinking, to cool "heat islands"...to produce smaller water cycles to keep the water near the land so the land can buffer the climate, smaller climates to hold the water cycles and the lands intact, to prevent drought and floods and desertification that destroy humans. Think cyclic.
