This is so funny... I just read a whole article about this one song in Uncut magazine. These guys were going nowhere when the singer pulled this song out of a stoned stupor and they hit the big time. We were young and stupid back then they said of the songs naiveté. Well, the words are pretty much impossible to make out so it doesnt matter much :D Also, autotune had clearly not been invented yet. But take the piss I do not! I loved this song as a kid, loved The Doobie Brothers, and I like this rough rendition. They seem to be suffering through it! :D
