This is so important to share with beach goers, many who run their dogs or let their childrenrun through flocks which are nesting or trying to feed. I am sure they have no idea of the impact. I watched a flock of mixed sea and song birds on Lake Ontario hang out, feed, share space and food sources for about an hour, a really neat thing to see, then a fellow threw a ball into the middle of their breakfast so his Lab would fetch it. When the birds finally settled down again about 15 minutes later, they were uneasy, unsettled and there was aggression between then that was absolutely not there before that intrusion. It has in impact.
