This is so true...the other day I was at lunch with a friend. A family came in, mom, dad and 2 daughters as they were seated everyone took out their phones, not one word was spoken until they got up to leave and they said was goodbye. In the next booth were 2 police officers. One was on the phone the whole time never said a word to her partner...a detective joined them he also pulled out his phone. I do not think they even acknowledged one another....so sad since they are more at risk of loosing their life at any given moment. In the other booth was two business men...one on the phone the other on the computer...the one with the phone was so distracted he spilled his tea and they had to move booths. Yes we need to LOOK UP!
