However, I believe he is taking the wrong approach saying the marine flag is not a flag, but rather marine "Colors". The U.S. Flag is also called "Colors". Plus they waited too long to complain and allowed him to set a precedent by letting him fly both flags for 2 years before complaining about it. He should fight it, in a court of law, based on the unconstitutionality of someone trying to regulate whether and how many flags you can have ON YOUR OWN PROPERTY.
