This is something I wrote for our military men and women along with their families in honor of their dedication and their children and spouses being there for them: To be so courageous with our lives in their hands An adoration of hope can help you withstand The truth, that lies, within the belief If you only comprehend, we can delegate the grief To one another, each other, we all must suffer But why do we feel, we must do it undercover Be attentive, your eyes, they must stay wide open If we choose to take a stand, you may be the first chosen To direct a feeling, of hope, courage, and honor Protect yourself, as well as your brother From the evil, this world, it makes no sense We lean on the politics, and elected presidents But why must we be so confused today, These middle aged people barely makin a wage To survive, its nonsense, its common sense We all have greed, but no moral belief To get what we have, we are simply deceived Its the past, the present, and the futures today We must stick together instead of going our separate ways To live out a dream, of mere happiness Unitys the key that makes perfect sense. -jeremyphillip
