This is such a day of positivity, even with everything terrible happening in the world right now something in my body lets me know the world will be ok, and will heal. Let me introduce you to one of my beautiful people @shericeholliman. Earlier in the year I received a message from her daughter on Instagram telling me that Sherice suffered a brain aneurysm and hadnt been herself for a while and that after discovering my music it reignited a passion in her mothers soul to pick her violin back up and begin to play. Shortly thereafter Sherice reached out to me and had this to say My daughter mentioned that I hadnt been myself as of late, unfortunately she was right. November 11, 2011 a blood vessel in my brain ruptured in two places causing a subarachnoid hemmorage or brain aneurysm. I have had open brain surgery to repair the rupture. Doctors tell me Im a miracle to be alive with no loss of cognative ability, just some minor nerve damage(makes it painful to play sometimes but I dont mind). Now, I dont know how much you know about brain injuries but there can be some major affects to your mood. I was depressed ...Long story short, I had recently been thinking of picking my violin back up in effort to keep my brain stimulated and to try to get back to MYSELF.(music is medicine) Then I saw you play and it moved me, it made me happy, it made me hopeful! In the moments that I listened to you play there was no doubt in my mind that I wanted to play again. For weeks following your music played throughout my house and a voice echoed in my head saying God gives us ALL gifts and in the darkest hour is when those gifts become most useful. If you dont use it, you will lose it. So you became my motivation. I was determined, and able to pick up the notes you were playing in a matter of days. I started practicing your covers which gave me some of the confidence I needed to keep going. All I can say is THANK YOU for being who you are and doing what you do. Your touching peoples lives in ways that you may never know. Thanks for helping me to rediscover my happy and get back to the mother my daughter missed Beautiful People for my #SpotlightSunday, I present to you @Shericeholliman ....
