Mom went for her first chemo treatment this morning and was greeted with a change of plans. The doctor pulled a CT scan from 2008 and found the same spot on her hip that was now considered cancer. It is actually a wear spot on her bone that naturally occurred and not cancer. Then he explained the cancer was localized to her kidney only. Because it is a fast growing tumor they will do radiation to shrink it. After a few weeks of radiation they will then decide if her kidney should be removed or if they can save it. THAT MY FRIENDS IS NEWS ONLY GOD CAN PROVIDE. Of course she was sobbing so hard my sister in law, Natalie, had to explain what had just happened. My dad... They moved him to a different nursing home and according to our daughter he is being taken care of better than before. She also said the facility is an incredible upgrade from where he was. Thank you for your prayers for our family. They are working!
